Here Comes the Ark—2015 (Part 1)

In May of 2011, about two weeks after I started this site, I wrote a 4-part series entitled “Here Comes the Ark.” It was written in part to both prepare for the coming Great Awakening in America and become knowledgeable of it.

Before the Lord can bring someone to full salvation there must be repentance. And before that He must prepare a person’s heart.

It is no different when He desires to bring an awakening. All great movements of God include a preparation time before the outer movement is seen. Sometimes the time of preparation takes decades or more. It is no different at present.

Though several great movements of God have taken place in America, the first was the Great Awakening of the 1730s-40s. It helped prepare the nation for the American Revolution, which led to the creation of a country with the greatest spiritual freedom in history.

As you read the following article, which remains just as topical and relevant, consider what must be achieved, how long the Lord has been working on it, and your own personal role.

Please feel free to add to the discussion.

  1. In the early 1990’s I had the privilege of attending a meeting under the leadership of Arthur Burt. He passed away last year at the age of 102. He was from Wales and as a teenager, he sat under the ministry of Smith Wigglesworth. In the meeting that I attended, Arthur prophesied that the final move of God would be a move of the Presence of the Lord. That is exactly what the Ark of the Covenant represents! The presence of the Lord. David understood that. I love reading the Psalms where David alludes to being in the presence of the Lord, in the “Shadow of His Wings.” Psalm 17:8, I think David actually slept in the presence of the Ark (see Psalm 17:15). Amos prophesied that the Tabernacle of David would be restored in the last days, Amos 9:11. The Apostles applied this verse to the Church, Acts 15:16. Forgive me for going into this if you covered it in parts 2-4, I have only read the first one so far. As you can tell, I get excited thinking about what God is doing in these last of the last days.

    Blessings, Tom

    • I get excited too, Tom! These are great times. Thanks a lot for the comment.

What a privilege to hear from someone associated with Wigglesworth. You have told me some great stories passed on from Arthur Burt. It was a different time then. There were different circumstances. But one thing in common is that the believers of that generation in that movement wanted the whole nine yards and were willing to pay for it. They gave their lives and their whole hearts. We must do no less.

      Be blessed Bro
