The Name of God: The Name Above Every Name (Part 5)
Reblogged from Real Christianity:
But when they had ordered them to leave the Council, they began to confer with one another, saying, “What shall we do with these men? For the fact that a noteworthy miracle has taken place through them is apparent to all who live in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it. But so that it will not spread any further among the people, let us warn them to speak no longer to any man in this name.” And when they had summoned them, they commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.
When I first ran this series last October, it received little attention. I am not sure why. The reason I am reblogging it is because,
(1) I have so little time now to write, and
(2) I wanted to give the series a second chance after this blog has become a little more noticed.
There is a lot of pure New Testament teaching here regarding the real Person of Jesus Christ as opposed to the religious caricatures and false images created over the last two millennia which still exist quite prominently.
I thank those of you who have read and liked the reposts so far. I want to stress that the more we honor the Lord Jesus for who He really is and honor His Name as they did in the first century, the more freedom He will have to act and the more good He will be able to do through us. Be blessed.

This post begs the question: “What will you (we) do with Jesus?” He is who He says He is and we are who He says we are. Granted, Jesus is God and we are His creation, wonderfully designed to bring praise, honor and glory in and to His Name. Granted that while we are weak earthen vessels, we can be made strong through the indwelling of His Spirit. There is eternal “Power in His Blood”. Will we accept His gift of forgiveness? Will we deny our self-centered ways, place our faith in Him and walk and talk in His ways? Will we remain obedient to His calling? If this is “What we will do with Jesus,” His light will shine in and through us!
“…When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8 NASB)
Yes, Yes, Yes, and again I say YES! Thank you Lord!
“What then? If some did not believe, their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God, will it? May it never be! Rather, let God be found true, though every man be found a liar, as it is written, “THAT YOU MAY BE JUSTIFIED IN YOUR WORDS, AND PREVAIL WHEN YOU ARE JUDGED.” [Romans 3:3-4]
Thanks for a comment that brings glory to the Lord.
AMEN….God is forever faithful…were it not for His Grace we would be forever trapped in our sin. Have a blessed week.
